Carrying skis? The Motion XT XL will hold 5 to 7 pairs of skis, maximum length 200cm.Internal 80.5cm wide x TBAcm (it depends on what you pack, and where, and whether you use Power Clicks or aerobar adapters). Dimensions: External 215cm x 95cm x 44cm.Before loading the box, check your vehicle's maximum permitted loading limit, taking into account the weight of the roof bars, the weight of the box, and the weight of the contents. If you're using aerobars, and want to maximise the space in the box, we recommend that you remove these fittings (they lift out very easily) and instead use Thule’s T-track aerobar adapters (listed below) which provide an invisible box to bar fitting as well as allowing you to make full use of the box capacity. These fittings also make it easier to fit boxes to unusual shaped manufacturers’ “own brand” bars, but these bars must be symmetrical in shape for the Power Clicks to work properly. You just turn each wheel to draw the fitting claws around the roof bars, making this box easy to fit to both standard steel and wider aluminium roof bars – maximum dimensions 90mm wide by 30mm deep - they fit all the bars we sell. 'SlideLock' locking system automatically locks the lid in place and red indicator tabs let you know that the box is securely closed.Easy to open and close in all conditions thanks to grip-friendly handles and supporting 'lid-lifter' struts. There’s a Thule 'One Key System' compatible central locking system on each side of the box.Dual Side opening with lid handles so you can choose to use it on either side of the vehicle, and to make for easier fitting and removal. It is designed to have a forward position on the car roof, looking neat and leaving more room at the rear of the vehicle to open the tailgate. It's TÜV approved for loads to 75kg and comes with a titan glossy lid on a matt black base. They are also ideal for use on rear wheel drives where there is minimal space between the top of the wheel and the wheel arch. Ladder track chains such as the Polaire GRIP and Spikes-Spider range only put chain over the tyre tread, so are not subject to these restrictions. The good news is that car handbooks usually only refer to "traditional snowchains". Please also check your tyre size - if you buy incorrectly-sized chains they will be either too tight or too loose. You will find this important information in your car handbook - please check this before using your snowchains! Our database is intended to do the basic work for you but, with so many new vehicles and tyre sizes, it should only ever be treated as a guide. This is usually because there is not enough space between the wheels and the shock absorbers this can be a problem for ordinary SUVs and 4x4s as well as for high performance cars. There are a surprising number of vehicles that cannot use traditional snowchains, the types that put chain on the inside of the wheel as well as on the tread. Why it's important to select the correct vehicle and tyre size
